The Leshii is a mysterious, shape-shifting forest spirit from Slavic Mythology. Some accounts characterize the Leshii as an evil entity that would lead travelers astray and abduct children, while others view him as a tutelary deity with a neutral disposition to humans. He was also thought to have a wife and two children as well as a curious habit of tickling his victims to death.
